We’re only three weeks away from the annual showdown between the Gamecocks and Tigers and both teams are beginning to play their best football. Clemson won a tight battle on the road against Louisville thanks to an impressive goal-line stand. The all-in effort from the Clemson defense secured the win and earned them this week’s Pest Play of the Game. Meanwhile, the Gamecocks returned to action in Williams-Brice Stadium in impressive fashion, scoring 40 points on their way to the largest margin of victory against the Florida Gators in program history. The strong performance was made possible by the outstanding play of the Gamecock offensive line, which provided great protection for new QB Jason Brown and opened up running lanes to propel both Gamecock running backs to 100+ yard games. The standout performance earned the entire unit the honor of being named the Pest Players of the Week.
